Mr. Beesley has been piloting (yes, he has a real pilot's license) Grantburg's iForward online school since 2007.
Mr. Beesley is originally from Ashland, Wisconsin. He graduated from high school and attended the University of Wisconsin Superior. After graduating from college, Mr. Beesley accepted a job teaching and coaching in western South Dakota. Mr. Beesley had no idea he would spend the next thirty years living in South Dakota. Most of his time was spend teaching and coaching in the capitol city, Pierre.
Mr. Beesley received a computer science endorsement in the year 2000 and immediately began teaching in this field. He began teaching online before there were online school. Next Mr. Beesley worked on his Master's Degree (fully online) and Specialist Degree from the University of South Dakota. He continues to learn and take courses because Mr. Beesley is committed to life-long learning.
Since 2007, Mr. Beesley has been helping students find their way to iForward. He believes when students try to learn, they can accomplish almost anything. Most recently, Mr. Beesley attended the launch of the Space X rocket sending an iForward student experiment to the International Space Station. Yes, the students and teachers at iForward have achieved monumental accomplishments. We look forward to an even more exciting 2018-19 school year.
Mr. Beesley wants each parent of iForward to know we have a "Parent Advisory Board" that meets once each quarter. For those parents interested in serving on the Parents Advisory Board, please contact Mr. Beesley. When the 2018-19 Board is established, we will post their names and contact information here.
Welcome to iForward!
Mr. Billy Beesley
